Risk Officer
Permanent full-time
Hours: 35 hours a week + VDO every 19 day + WFH Opportunities
Salary: $86,599.98 - $100,596.60 + 12% Superannuation per annum

What you'll do
As a Risk Officer you'll report to the Coordinator Risk and support the effective management of risk by developing, implementing, and continuously improving our Risk Management Framework in line with ISO31000. You’ll lead business continuity planning, conduct comprehensive risk assessments, and maintain both strategic and operational risk registers.
Your work will strengthen our organisation’s capability by promoting a strong risk culture, engaging stakeholders, and enhancing risk reporting and planning. What you'll need to succeed (Essential Criteria)
- Relevant risk management related qualifications and/or experience related to the position.
- Strong knowledge of risk management principles as outlined in the international standard for risk management (ISO 31000).
- Understanding of Local Government service delivery accountabilities and the legislative environment.
- Well-developed planning, organisational and project management skills.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and experience in dealing with confidential matters.
- Proven ability to problem solve, think laterally and deliver practical solutions.
- High level interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate, collaborate and influence effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience preparing policies, procedures and reports.
- Possess and maintain a current NSW Drivers Licence (Class C)
