Salary: $121,493.06 - $141,194.56 + 12% Superannuation per annum

What you'll do
As the Coordinator Procurement & Contracts, you will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and take charge of overseeing Council’s procurement and tendering functions. You will ensure compliance with the Local Government Act and other relevant legislation, while providing expert advice and high-level support to Council staff on procurement and purchasing processes, ensuring adherence to Council policies and guidelines. Additionally, you will manage the Council’s contract register to maintain accurate records and provide probity advice on procurement activities in consultation with the CFO.

What you'll need to succeed (Essential Criteria)
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as Business, Purchasing, Contract Management or Public Administration and/or minimum 10 years' experience.
- Demonstrated experience in a Senior Procurement Position within a medium or large multi-purpose organisation.
- Sound knowledge of procurement systems, tendering policies and contract management.
- Ability to work across the organisation to understand business requirements as applicable to purchasing and procurements processes.
- A high level of interpersonal, presentation and communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Demonstrated capacity to coordinate and mentor staff
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to prioritise and complete tasks efficiently within deadlines.
Other Requirements
- Be willing to undergo a National Police Check prior to commencement
- Hold a current Drivers Licence (Class C)
