About the Role
Are you passionate about the arts and love engaging with the community? Shoalhaven Regional Gallery is seeking dynamic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as a Casual Gallery Officer.
Reporting directly to the Shoalhaven Regional Gallery Director, the main duties of this role include:
- Co-ordinate launches and events within allocated resources and ensure they meet the Responsible Service of Alcohol and Safe Food Handling Guidelines.
- Follow cultural protocols in supporting Welcome to Country, Acknowledgments of Country and in working with First Nations communities and cultural materials
- Co-ordinate the installation and de-installation of exhibitions and liaison with artists in accordance with industry best practice.
- Oversee the Regional Gallery facilities including: general administration bookings and maintenance of the Regional Gallery building and its operations, cash handling and reconciliation.
- Assist in the management of the Regional Gallery shop including co-ordination of stockists, stock management and control and recording inventory / shop sales
- Prepare correspondence, minutes, project briefs, submissions, reports and other documents as required.

About You
To be successful in the position, you will have:
- Diploma level qualification in Arts, Marketing, Arts Education or related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated experience in arts and cultural facility resource operation, or art gallery support programs
- Class C Driver's Licence
- Current First Aid and RSA Certificates (or ability to obtain within 3 months)
- Proof of Australian residency or citizenship
This position requires a current NSW Working with Children Check. Applicants are required to apply and pay for this check if not already obtained.
