Retail and Consumer (R&C) provides specialised contract warehouse and distribution services to a range of industries across the globe including Consumer & Beverages, Specialty Retail and FMCG. We offer our customers an array of robust and flexible logistics and warehouse distribution solutions in the third-party logistics (3PL) market.
The Role
We are excited to be recruiting for a high calibre Senior Solutions Design Manager (Warehouse Automation). Reporting directly to the Head of Warehouse Solution Design, the Senior Solution Design Manager will lead inputs into the solution design for tender responses, provide leadership, commercial due diligence, and driving the process forward by liaising closely with all key stakeholders.
This position requires logical, entrepreneurial thinking to develop unique solutions to our clients through the identification of prospective business offerings and future opportunities, producing high quality professionally compiled solutions for tenders which consistently delivers solutions to meet either existing customers’ or prospects’ needs.
This position can be based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.
To be successful as the Senior Solutions Design Manager you will:
- Lead end‑to‑end intralogistics solution design across multiple industries, delivering scalable, executable and customer‑focused network and operational designs from concept through implementation support.
- Provide strong analytical, modelling and commercial capability, including process design, data analysis, cost modelling, scenario development and pricing to support robust decision‑making and sustainable margins.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally and with customers to validate assumptions, align solution components, influence decision‑making and ensure feasibility across the broader Toll network.
- Deliver high‑quality documentation, tenders and presentations, clearly articulating solution rationale, value drivers and benefits for internal stakeholders and customers.
- Drive innovation, capability uplift and continuous improvement, adopting best‑practice tools, emerging technologies and new methodologies to enhance solution quality, speed and competitiveness.
- Ensure operational excellence, governance and compliance, effectively managing workloads, adhering to project methodologies, maintaining quality standards and supporting consistent, high‑quality outcomes.
About You:
Qualifications
- An undergraduate degree in Engineering or Logistics Management or a related discipline from a recognised tertiary institution.
- Membership of a relevant association highly regarded
- AutoCAD, Tableau, MS Office Suite including MS Visio skills are essential
Skills and Experience
- Comprehensive experience related industry in warehouse (physical automation) ,logistics or supply chain function.
- Good knowledge of supply chain applications and operational knowledge of warehouse layout and operations
- Critical thinking ability that enables continuous improvement opportunities to be identified and implemented with the support of the broader team
- Able to demonstrate consulting capability through previous successful project
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Able to travel on engagement requirements where needed
