- Salary commencing from $114,493 per annum + 12% Superannuation + CLA if applicable

- 35-hour week

In this senior role, you will provide technical and functional leadership on traffic governance, planning, and operations. You will be empowered to deliver a safer and more effective transport system, working closely with Council’s Executive, Councillors, and our community. About You:
To succeed in this position, you will meet the following criteria:
- A degree in Civil/Traffic Engineering or related field, with at least 5 years’ experience in a traffic engineering position.
- Valid Driver’s Licence.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve complex traffic and transport related problems, negotiate viable options with stakeholders and implement preferred solutions.
- In depth technical knowledge of Local Government legislation, the NSW Roads Act 1993, Austroads, the Australian Road Rules and other relevant legislation and standards.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively as required for the position, such as:
- Community engagement
- Report Writing
- Negotiating with customers and stakeholders
- Presentations
