JOB DETAILS: 1 x Permanent Full Time 35 Hours 5 days per week Salary - $99,424 to $108,943 plus 12% Super Location: Liverpool
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Liverpool City Council is seeking a passionate and creative Waste Education Officer to lead the development and delivery of education, engagement and promotion projects that inspire our community to avoid waste, increase reuse, and improve recycling and recovery.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Design, implement and evaluate innovative waste education programs for residents, schools and community groups. Liaise with contractors, government agencies and other councils to deliver regional waste education initiatives.
- Work with Council’s marketing and media team to develop engaging education and promotional resources.
- Organise and deliver workshops, events and school programs to raise awareness of waste and sustainability issues.
- Support the development of Council’s waste education strategy and broader waste management plans
ABOUT YOU:
- Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Education, Natural Resource Management or related field
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver engaging education programs, presentations and events
- Strong skills in stakeholder engagement, including working with culturally and linguistically diverse communities
- Proven experience in achieving program outcomes within deadlines and minimal supervision
- Knowledge of current waste and resource recovery issues and the waste industry
- Current NSW Class C Driver’s Licence

Salary (within the above-mentioned range) will be dependent upon the relevant skills, experience, and competencies of the successful applicant.
