The role
We are seeking a reliable and community-minded Parking Compliance Officer to join our Regulatory Services team. In this front-facing role, you will patrol and monitor parking across our city, ensuring compliance with Australian Road Rules and local regulations. You will contribute to safety, accessibility, and fairness for all road users while providing education and assistance to the public.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
• Conduct daily parking patrols of public roads and carparks.
• Issue infringement notices in accordance with legal standards.
• Monitor signage and report maintenance or upgrade needs.
• Liaise with the community to provide parking advice and education.
• Prepare court briefs and attend court proceedings as required.
• Respond to customer complaints and service requests.
• Accurately update records and maintain relevant databases.
• Assist in implementing improvements to parking operations.

You will have
• Knowledge of Australian Road Rules 2014 and relevant legislation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interpret laws and regulations with sound judgement.
• Excellent customer service, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Current Class C driver’s licence.
Desirable: Experience preparing reports or presenting at court, experience using mobile infringement systems, and knowledge of the legal system or parking compliance practices.
The salary for this opportunity starts at $71,819 (Grade D, Step 1) plus 12% super.
