Gilgandra Shire Council is seeking a Grants & Strategy Officer to join the Organisational Performance team!
12 months fixed term
- Full time 35 hours per week - Flexibility to negotiate
- Rostered day off every fortnight - an extra 22 days off a year!
- Weekly pay cycle
- Salary range $1438.08 - $1725.65 per week
ABOUT THE ROLE
This position supports Council’s strategic and operational goals by identifying, coordinating, and monitoring grant funding opportunities, managing grant processes, and contributing to the implementation and reporting of key strategic initiatives. The role works across the organisation to enhance project delivery through effective funding strategies and alignment with corporate planning and reporting requirements.

ABOUT YOU
Council is looking for someone who has the following qualities, experience and/or qualifications:
- Tertiary qualifications in business, public administration, planning, communications, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in grant writing, coordination, and reporting.
- Strong understanding of strategic planning frameworks and project alignment.
- Highly developed organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
