We’re looking for a driven and experienced turf management professional to take charge of both internal teams and external contractors, delivering outstanding results while championing a strong safety-first culture. In this leadership role, you’ll play a key part in shaping the green spaces our community enjoys every day—ensuring they’re not only maintained to the highest standard but continually improved through innovative, cost-effective practices.
You’re a self-starter with a strategic mindset, capable of providing expert guidance and direction to ensure best-practice turf management techniques are consistently applied. With a sharp eye for detail and a commitment to excellence, you’ll help us meet—and exceed—community expectations for pristine parks and reserves. Your deep knowledge of turf care, including fertiliser and herbicide application, renovation techniques, and scheduling, will be essential in delivering a proactive and high-quality service.
Beyond technical expertise, you bring strong interpersonal skills and thrive in a collaborative environment. You’re confident communicating across all levels of the organisation and with the community, and you’re passionate about mentoring staff and managing contractors effectively. You understand the importance of safety and compliance, and you’re well-versed in relevant legislation and standards.
To be successful in this role, you’ll hold a qualification in Turf Management or have gained equivalent knowledge through extensive hands-on experience. A current ‘C’ class driver’s licence and Construction Induction Training (White Card) are also required.

To be considered for this role, you must address the following selection criteria as part of your online application:
- Advanced knowledge of turf management and public open space maintenance
- Comprehensive knowledge in the preparation and implementation of cyclical maintenance schedules
- Strong written and interpersonal skills, particularly verbal communication
- Intermediate level of computer literacy skills
- Strong supervisory skills in relation to WHS monitoring
- Extensive demonstrated experience in the supervising operational maintenance requirements of all turf and public open space functions including in house field staff and contractors
- Experience in human resource management inclusive of performance management of underperforming employees
- Certificate IV in Turf Management or demonstrated learned knowledge through substantial experience working within the commercial turf management field
We are offering a gross salary of $99,138 per annum, and:
- 12% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to a further 5%
