Permanent Full Time 35 Hours,5 days per week $80,419.09 to $88,118.76 + Superannuation
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Procurement Officer assists with the coordination of Council’s tendering and contract processes to meet internal customer requirements, in accordance with the Local Government Act 1993 and the Local Government (General) Regulation 2021. The role provides procurement support and advice in relation to quotations, tenders and procurement management on goods and services that are to be delivered to Council by external service providers.
The position reports to the Strategic Procurement and Contracts Manager and is fast paced with a dynamic work environment which positively contributes to our people and community.
ABOUT YOU
The desired candidate will be highly motivated, and process-driven, with high attention to detail. You will have wide range of experience in managing high volume of priorities.
The successful applicants will be able to demonstrate their competency in the following essential areas:
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications relevant to purchasing or contracting, and/or relevant work experience in a purchasing/procurement role
- Demonstrated experience in completing administration tasks
- Demonstrated experience in providing procurement advice and guidance to clients
- Demonstrated experience in the effective application of procurement policies, practices, and procedures
- Working knowledge of the Local Government Act 1993 (and associated regulations).
