Earnings and Benefits
Base Salary $75,418 to $89,620 (avg 36 hours per week, 9 day fortnight), + 16.5% super + allowances and additional benefits. Total typical earnings $98,022 to $143,346 per annum (This is an estimate based on most common amounts paid last year, and not a guarantee of future earnings).
About the role
We’re looking for a motivated Technologist to join our dedicated team at our Narellan Field Service Centre. You’ll play a key role in constructing HV Switchyards, installing and wiring Protection and Control Panels, and maintaining associated equipment of Zone and Transmission Substations across Transmission South.
You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to external projects with our partners or in other regions, depending on operational needs.
Essential requirements
Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician
Proven strong safety awareness and commitment
Proven ability to work effectively in small teams
Self-motivated and open to ongoing training
Desirable
- Wiring Large Control Panels
- Understanding Schematical and Mechanical Drawings
- Experience in a high-voltage (HV) industry
- Experience maintaining HV circuit breakers and transformers
- Familiarity with the construction and maintenance of Zone and Transmission Substations
- Previous work in HV environments
- Class C or MR driver’s licence
- Fibre Optics Splicing Trained
