As the Coordinator Contributions and Infrastructure Planning, you'll be at the forefront of guiding long-term infrastructure and asset strategies that empower a rapidly growing local government area. In this pivotal position, you will lead a dynamic, multidisciplinary team to forecast tomorrow's needs and align bold infrastructure initiatives with Council's strategic ambitions, ensuring exceptional outcomes.
Your responsibilities will encompass the full spectrum of development contribution planning, including the negotiation and management of voluntary planning agreements and works-in-kind agreements. You will drive the delivery of critical infrastructure, facilitating the timely development of land to support sustainable growth. By integrating these mechanisms, you will enable Council to secure and deliver essential infrastructure and services, streamline development processes, and foster collaborative partnerships with stakeholders.

Essential:
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications and extensive work experience in urban release and renewal developments.
- Demonstrated experience of successfully leading teams through change, fostering collaboration and driving strategic outcomes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including demonstrated conflict resolution and negotiation skills, with the ability to work constructively to influence stakeholders at all levels with a proven track record in developing positive rapport and establishing trust
- Ability to present ideas and concepts to internal and external stakeholders
- Extensive experience engaging with government agencies, industry and professional associations, business groups and the wider community
- An inspiring leader with a solid understanding of interplay between infrastructure, planning, assets and finance and achieving successful outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience and ability in planning and work review, process improvement and quality with a strong focus on strategic outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to apply EEO, WHS and ethical practice principles and to act with probity at all times
Desirable:
- Previous experience and/or knowledge of the Local Government environment
