Are you an experienced Civil Construction Specialist or Projects Engineer who is ready to lead impactful construction projects?
We are seeking a Senior Projects Officer to join our resourceful and dynamic Civil Works Team. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to lead the planning and delivery of our construction projects and work with our contractors to deliver high quality infrastructure projects that will shape our community.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team, to lead the planning, execution and successful completion of civil construction projects.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key skills and attributes:
- Relevant Tertiary qualifications (Diploma, Bachelors Certificate or similar) in Project Management, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or equivalent qualifications with Project Delivery focus
- High level knowledge and experience in administering construction contracts including risk management, performance management, quality and cost control
- Practical experience in delivering Civil based construction projects for a range of clients within NSW.
- Thorough knowledge of design and construction processes for building and civil engineering projects, commercial contractual arrangements, NSW building industry legislation and codes of practice and relevant policies, practices and procedures, environmental, social, economic and financial matters.
- Current Class C Drivers Licence
- NSW White Card or equivalent
- Experience in leading, managing and supervising staff
- Extensive experience in construction and contractor management
- High level experience in planning, estimating, programming, documenting contract packages in the building/construction disciplines
- Proven experience in management of project pre-construction processes including feasibility studies, concept development, design and documentation
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Proven initiative, problem solving and decision making skills
- Capacity to formulate and present sound advice on construction matters to the unit and leadership team
