Your position:
Start your career in civil construction with Burwood Council! We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals who want hands on experience building and maintaining community infrastructure like footpaths, kerbs, and drainage systems. This is an entry-level trainee position designed for those starting out with no prior experience required, just a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
As a Civil Construction Trainee, you will:
- Assist with civil construction and maintenance tasks under supervision
- Learn to operate tools and small plant equipment safely
- Work outdoors as part of a supportive team
- Gain a nationally recognised Certificate III in Civil Construction
Key requirements:
- A
willingness to enrol in and complete a Certificate III in Civil
Construction
- A
passion for working outdoors and an interest in learning civil
construction
- A
positive attitude, enthusiasm to learn, and a commitment to teamwork
- A
NSW White Card (or willingness to obtain one)
- Be
willing to undertake pre-employment screening, which may include a
pre-employment medical and/or police check
