Minchinbury Shift Manager - N.S.W
Drive Operational Excellence in a Fast-Paced Logistics Environment.
Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for transport operations and team performance. We’re looking for a proactive and experienced Shift Manager to join our team in Minchinbury, where you’ll play a key role in delivering safe, efficient, and customer-focused logistics services.
About the Role
As the Shift Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations during your shift, working closely with the Operations Manager and Transport Supervisors. You’ll ensure safety, service, and financial targets are met while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll manage resources, drive performance, and build strong relationships with internal teams and key customers, including Woolworths.
Please note the shift hours are as follows: Four Day Work Week, Wednesday – Saturday 6AM - 4PM. This is a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract.
Key Responsibilities and Duties -
Lead shift operations with a focus on safety, service delivery, and cost efficiency.
Manage rosters, allocate resources, and ensure compliance with transport legislation.
Maintain 99.5%+ On Time Delivery performance.
Build strong working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
Investigate service failures and implement corrective actions.
Support and develop junior team members to build future leadership capability.
Ensure all HSE policies and procedures are followed and continuously improved.
Contribute to site initiatives and business-specific goals.
What You’ll Bring
Proven experience in transport or logistics operations.
Strong understanding of transport legislation and Chain of Responsibility.
Knowledge of budgeting, cost analysis, and KPI management.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
