Position Overview
As a Tree Management Officer specialising in Proactive Inspections, you will be at the forefront of our urban forestry management. This role offers a unique opportunity to conduct thorough inspections and assessments of our tree assets, ensuring they are not only safe but also flourishing. You will align your efforts with arboriculture best practises and the Council’s strategic frameworks to create a lasting impact on our environment and community.
Your expertise will be crucial in managing risks associated with urban trees while maximising their environmental, social, and economic contributions. By collaborating with our tree canopy management team, you will help us achieve our goals outlined in the Council’s Delivery Program and Operational Plans, all while embracing a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Who We’re Looking For
Are you passionate about trees and their role in our urban ecosystem? We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who is not only knowledgeable in arboriculture but also possesses a strong commitment to community service and sustainability.
- Diploma in Arboriculture (AQF Level 5) and a Class C Driver’s Licence.
- A proven track record in tree assessments and risk management.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a knack for fostering collaborative relationships.
- Experience in developing proactive inspection schedules and technical reports.

- Package:From$96,671 gross p.a. plus 12% superannuation.
- Hours of work:Permanent full time 38 hours per week with a 9 day fortnight
