About the Role – 12 month contract
The Instructional Designer plays a critical role in supporting the Customer Transformation Project training team by designing, developing, and implementing learning solutions that support employee transition to the new ways of working in EnergyAustralia’s Customer.
Key aspects of the role include (but aren’t limited to):
- Instructional Design working with SMEs to incorporate processes and system content
- Interpret Process Maps to design training that incorporates system use and new processes
- Technology based content creation including eLearns, videos, simulations and updating training materials on an ongoing basis
- Writing for Knowledge Management database including scripts to meet regulatory requirements
- Work with external training providers to curate a cohesive package of training material
- Ensure all content & training materials developed with regulatory requirements in at the forefront of mind
About You
To be successful in this role you will need strong analytical skills and a genuine passion for creating meaningful learning experiences for corporate team whilst understanding the importance of creating fun, easily understood training materials. Other traits and experiences we’d love to see include:
- Proven Instructional Design experience, ideally working within a highly regulated industry (energy/utilities viewed favourably)
- Cert IV TAE or equivalent
- Proven experience developing eLearns, videos and training simulations
- Confident user in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Ability to translate complex systems, processes and regulatory information into easily understood learning material
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to think strategically
- Highly collaborative and solution-oriented with a focus on creating actionable, impactful learning experiences
- Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working in a high-change environment
- Proficient in BCM systems with the ability to learn new systems quickly
