About the role
Reporting to the Aquatic Operations Coordinator, this role is responsible for the foresight of the daily operations of Bayside’s Aquatic Centres including daily operational tasks, supervision of Lifeguards, water quality testing, facility maintenance, customer service and work health and safety obligations.

You can also expect to:
- Provide supervision of Lifeguards, and other staff as needed, and promote high team performance. This includes directing and managing the daily work activities, compliance with relevant procedures, scheduling rotation and breaks, assisting with and the maintenance of Lifeguard training, and responding to any escalated issues.
- Implement operational systems and procedures and allocate resources to ensure all venue operational requirements are met and maintain high standards of service delivery, venue presentation, safety and security.
- Ensure patrons are supervised in the safe use of the facilities and promptly identify and action potential issues which may cause injury or illness to staff or patrons.
- Ensure daily booking and operational schedules are implemented to ensure customer needs are met.
- Support all work areas as required including the functions of Customer Service, Retail, Kiosk services, Gym and Fitness services and Aquatic Programs.
- Ensure prompt resolution of customer complaints and review feedback to continually improve processes and service.
- Ensure that all supplies and assets are stored securely and properly accounted for.
- Carry out and lead emergency response activities and plans in line with the Centre's Emergency Management response plans including carrying out duties as facility Chief Warden.
- Ensure the building, aquatic plant and water quality is maintained in line with operational and water quality management plans to maintain compliance with relevant legislative requirements. This includes performing routine pool water testing and maintenance including backwashing and chemical dosing.
- Ensure Child Safe Practices and procedures are implemented and complied with to mitigate risks.
- Maintain accurate and complete records to meet legislative and regulatory requirements and to provide operational advice.
About you
We are looking for a someone who has:
- Demonstrated experience in public swimming pool operation and supervision.
- Current Senior First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Current Pool Lifeguard Qualifications recognised in NSW (preferably RLS)
- Current Aquatic Technical Operations Certificate.
- Current Working with Children Check (NSW)
- Current Driver's Licence Class C, or willingness to obtain.
- Demonstrated experience of plant room management and pool operations.
- Hours of work between 5am to 930pm Monday to Sunday. However, commencing and finishing times will be flexible and depend on operational needs.

Salary: $39.62 - $44.37 per hour, plus 25% casual loading, plus 12% superannuation
