Join our Strategic Property and Buildings team and make your mark in the innovative management and development of our property and building portfolio! As a Property Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing and administering property-related matters for the council. What this role looks like:
• Assist in the negotiation and liaison with property owners, tenants & valuers on property transactions that includes acquisitions, sales, leases, licenses & other agreements.
• Prepare documentation and reports, including tenders, expressions of interest and council reports as required.
• Administer contracts and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
• Assist in the development and implementation of property strategies and plans.
• Provide advice and support on land use and property matters to internal and external parties.
What are we seeking in our new team member:
• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Valuation, Conveyancing, Property Management or 5+ years’ experience in Local Government, property and business activities.
• Knowledge and understanding of Land Acquisition (Just Terms Compensation) Act and Local Government Act.
• The ability to negotiate effectively, organise, manage time effectively, and administrate properties.
• Experience and knowledge of land use and property laws, as well as the ability to interpret and apply those laws.

Permanent full-time role, salary $107K per annum + Superannuation
