We are seeking an experienced and professional Workshop Supervisor with a passion for Fleet Services.
We are looking for someone who is excited by the challenges of this role and our Shire.
As the Workshop Supervisor, reporting to the Coordinator Fleet Services, some of your key functions will include:
- Undertaking the maintenance and repair to council plant and equipment
- Supervise, develop and lead all workshop employees and contractors on a daily basis to ensure and maintain a safe work environment
- Assist with the coordination of daily duties of the mechanics and contractors.
- Allocate/ schedule daily work tasks in accordance with workshop schedule and ensure that service, repairs and maintenance to vehicles, plant and equipment are completed within required time frames and to manufacturer's standards

Our preferred candidates will be able to demonstrate the following qualifications and skillset:
- Hold a valid MC drivers' licence
- Heavy Duty Mechanical trade qualification (Australian recognised)
- Sound knowledge of current relevant statutory requirements, Acts and Local Laws
- Experience in the repair and maintenance of small plant (mowers, brush cutters, chainsaws etc.)
- Forklift ticket
- Sound experience with using computers and ordering parts
- Previous experience supervising staff
