About Us
Retail, Consumer & Auto (RCA) provides specialised contract warehouse and distribution services to a range of industries across the globe including Consumer & Beverages, Specialty Retail, Auto and FMCG. We offer our customers an array of robust and flexible logistics and warehouse distribution solutions in the third-party logistics (3PL) market.
About the Role
As a key member of our Retail & Consumer Solutions team, the Transport Design and Commercial Analyst plays a pivotal part in driving both new business growth and continuous improvement across our operations. This is your chance to influence high‑impact projects, support strategic development, and help design smarter, more efficient transport solutions that deliver real value for our customers.
What You’ll Do
- Design and model transport solutions across Australia & New Zealand, including RFP responses, optimisation modelling, commercial modelling, and ensuring solution realism.
- Provide insights and recommendations by presenting modelling outcomes to support business decision‑making and performance reviews.
- Drive operational excellence by managing time effectively, supporting other teams, improving methodologies, and adhering to Toll quality, compliance, and project standards.
- Maximise profitability through accurate commercial models, creative value‑enhancing solutions, cost‑saving identification, and effective handover to implementation teams.
- Ensure strong customer focus by building relationships, anticipating customer needs, managing requirements, and communicating clearly to resolve issues.
- Support sustainable business outcomes by aligning solution design with differentiated service offerings and long‑term operational efficiency.
What You’ll Bring
Qualifications
A Degree or qualification in a related discipline (Finance, Engineering, Logistics, Business, Commerce) from a recognised tertiary institution
Drivers Licence
Skills and Experience
- Strong technical capability, including advanced Excel (required), solid PowerPoint skills, commercial modelling/pricing experience, statistical knowledge, and desirable exposure to transport‑planning software.
- High analytical, critical‑thinking and problem‑solving ability, demonstrated through successful consulting projects and a continuous‑improvement mindset.
- Deep logistics, supply chain and intralogistics understanding, supported by 5+ years’ experience in a logistics/supply chain/commercial function, plus strong knowledge of transport operations and Toll’s core business units.
- Professionalism, confidentiality and integrity, with a positive attitude, respect for others, and a cooperative approach to both customers and colleagues.
