An exciting opportunity for a People and Culture Business Partner to work within the Workplace Relations Team to provide dedicated business partnering, guidance and services to City Performance Directorate and senior leaders within Bayside Council.
About the role
The role is responsible for providing specialist advice and assistance on a range of human resource activities, including human resource operational management, strategic human resource policy advice, talent acquisition, performance management, employee and industrial relations, workplace investigations and complaint management, and organisational transition and reform.Working at both the operational and strategic level, the People & Culture (P&C) Business Partner is responsible for all things people within their client group. The role will work very closely with Council's Senior Management and Executive to implement people initiatives within the City Performance Directorate
Key responsibilities:
- Provide strategic and operational human resources advice and support, using an internal consultancy approach, to enhance leadership capabilities and development of a positive and resilient approach to achieving management goals.
- Drive employee engagement & compliance at a site level and provide coaching partnerships to equip managers to engage, motivate, support and coach employees for high performance, and to positively influence behavioural change
- Working collaboratively with senior leaders to establish and drive a high performing organisation that improves business and service outcomes and promotes Bayside Council as an employer of choice within Local Government.
- Fostering an engaged, committed and customer centric workforce, where employees embrace change, are flexible and agile in their work and make a positive contribution to Bayside Council.
About You
The ideal candidate will be a confident and articulate communicator with the following:
- Relevant Qualifications and/or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- Current Driver’s Licence Class C.

Salary Range: From $98, 000 - $110, 000 per year plus 12% superannuation
