General Service Employee
Location: Ascott Gardens – Central West Region
The Opportunity
We are seeking a reliable and motivated General Service Employee to join our team at Ascott Gardens. This role is integral to maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents by supporting facility operations across cleaning, kitchen, and laundry services.
You will play an important role in enhancing resident wellbeing and ensuring compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards and relevant legislation, while upholding the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and comfort.
Key Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:

Cleaning and maintaining resident and communal areas

Supporting kitchen and food service operations

Laundry services and linen management
-
Ensuring compliance with hygiene, safety, and infection control standards
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

Experience in one or more areas: cleaning, food services, or laundry

Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Flexibility to adapt to operational needs

Attention to detail and problem-solving ability

Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Desirable

Relevant qualification in services or food safety (e.g., TAFE certificate)

Knowledge of aged care regulatory requirements
