Registered Nurse - Residential Aged Care - Orange
- Salary $46 - $60 per hour + Super

The Opportunity
We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our team at Ascott Gardens Hostel, a 78-bed Residential Aged Care Facility located in Orange. You will provide person‑centred, evidence‑based clinical care that enhances residents’ independence, wellbeing, and quality of life. In collaboration with an on-site Clinical Manager/Educator, you will oversee clinical governance, conduct comprehensive assessments, and guide the care team to ensure all care aligns with Aged Care Quality Standards and individual resident needs. With a strong focus on communication, leadership, and collaboration, you will support staff development and foster positive relationships with residents, families, and external health professionals. Through high-quality clinical practice, continuous improvement, and adherence to professional standards, you will make a meaningful impact on the safety, dignity, and overall experience of residents in care.
Duties will include (but not limited to):
- Deliver high‑quality, person‑centred clinical care, including comprehensive assessments, care plan development, and ongoing monitoring of residents’ health needs.
- Provide clinical leadership by supervising, supporting, and training care staff to ensure safe, competent, and consistent care aligned with policies, regulations, and professional standards.
- Maintain accurate resident documentation, manage clinical reporting, and communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and external health professionals.
- Promote a safe workplace by ensuring compliance with WHS requirements, conducting risk assessments, managing incidents, and supporting infection prevention and control practices.
- Contribute to continuous quality improvement through audits, feedback processes, identifying areas for enhancement, and participating in organisational clinical governance activities.
What you will need
- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration.
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification.
- At least 4 years’ experience post-registration qualification in the Residential Aged Care Sector or similar (e.g. palliative care)
- Demonstrated ability to use the Microsoft Office Professional Suite (all applications)
- Excellent Customer Service.
- Excellent Interpersonal and Active Listening Skills.
- Good Written and Communication Skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise work according to strict guidelines and an eye for detail.
- Demonstrated decision-making, problem-solving and conflict-management skills.
- Time, Task and Priority Management Skills.
