About the role:
We are seeking an experienced and outcome-driven End User Experience Lead to own and enhance our digital workplace environment. Reporting to the ICT Operations Coordinator,
In this role you will:
- be the product owner for Council’s end user compute and collaboration services—including devices,
Microsoft 365, and meeting/AV technology. - Make IT visible, proactive, and people-focused, ensuring staff have a seamless, reliable, and
productive digital experience every day. - Act as the main interface between IT, staff, and vendors.
- Translate user feedback into measurable improvements.
- Drive adoption of new tools and technologies.
- Lead continuous service enhancements to support staff and organisational goals.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key skills and attributes:
- An outcome and delivery-focused Senior IT professional with a high degree of expert knowledge
and experience. - Relevant tertiary qualification/s in Information Technology or equivalent.
- Expert technical skills across (AI, EUC & Collaboration) - Expert knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Co
Pilot, Entra ID/Azure AD, Exchange Online, OneDrive/SharePoint, Teams incl. Teams
Rooms/AV). - Endpoint management at scale: Intune/Autopilot, Windows 11, macOS, iOS/Android,
packaging/patching, device compliance and Conditional Access. - Working knowledge of Wi-Fi and Network fundamentals (to diagnose EUC-visible issues) and
peripheral ecosystems (print, docking, conferencing). - Expert skills across IT operations and cloud disciplines including service management (support,
change management, incident, and problem management, etc) - Strong ITIL capability across incident, problem, change and request; evidence of reducing
repeat issues and improving change success. - Designs and executes user-centred change (pilots, champions networks, targeted training),
with clear adoption metrics and benefits realisation. - Excellent plain-English communications for non-technical audiences and confident executive
briefings. - Orchestrates MSPs/OEMs/AV integrators; negotiates outcome-based KPIs (beyond SLAs);
manages budgets, licensing (e.g., M365 E3/E5), hardware refresh and TCO. - Leads a matrix squad (service desk, endpoint, collaboration, comms/training) to deliver the
roadmap; coaches’ teams in product/UX and continuous improvement. - Builds collaborative relationships across business units; resolves conflict and drives aligned
decisions quickly. - Partners with Cyber/Platforms to embed secure-by-default endpoints (identity, hardening,
patching, EDR, DLP/labels) aligned to ACSC Essential Eight and NSW Cyber Security Policy
“Mandatory 25.” - Owns EUC/collab risk register, continuity/readiness for large-scale rebuilds and civic event
