We are seeking an experienced and professional Supervisor Parks and Streetscapes with a passion for leading teams, delivering high quality public open space outcomes, and maintaining safe, vibrant parks and streetscapes for our growing community.
In this role you will have the following accountabilities:
- Provide leadership, supervision and performance management to horticultural and arboriculture staff, including direct oversight of the Team Leader Arbor.
- Oversee programmed and reactive maintenance works, including CRM triage, scheduling and contractor coordination to ensure service levels are met.
- Manage and monitor contractor performance, budgets and project timelines, including participation in tender and quotation processes.
- Develop, review and implement public open space maintenance schedules, including tree planting, mulching and plant replacement programs.
- Monitor the condition of parks assets including turf, irrigation, trees, playgrounds and streetscapes to ensure quality and safety standards are maintained.
- Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, risk assessments, Safe Work Method Statements and chemical management requirements.
- Maintain high levels of customer service through effective communication, accurate record keeping and timely responses to enquiries.
Our preferred candidate will be able to demonstrate the following experience and skillset:
- Certificate in Horticulture, Turf, Arboriculture or similar.
- Strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead, motivate and develop high-performing teams.
- Extensive experience in horticulture, parks and streetscapes maintenance, including quality control and contractor oversight.
- Experience developing and managing maintenance schedules and prioritising reactive works.
- Demonstrated time management, problem-solving and organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- High level verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in MS Office.
- Strong customer service focus.
- Current "C" Class Driver's Licence and First Aid certification.

Salary range on offer is $85,617.35 - $88,205.21 depending on the experience you bring to the role. As well as restricted private use of a Shire allocated vehicle.
