About the position:
The Sport & Leisure Planner is responsible for the supervision of all sporting user groups at the City’s sporting precincts, in particular, the implementation of capital works and renewal applications or maintenance enquiries associated with these facilities. The position is to also identify opportunities for hosting high profile sporting events, securing grant funding and provide general advice and consultation to the sporting community on issues that affect their long-term sustainability (e.g. leasing issues, service agreements etc.).
Key accountabilities:
- Act as the liaison officer for all correspondence relating to sporting communications, in particular for City managed sporting facilities.
- Respond to sporting user groups and ensure effective communications are actioned in a timely manner relating to maintenance or sporting enquiries.
- Source, identify and engage with stakeholders to initiate high profile sporting event opportunities with significant economic benefits into the CGG community.

Position requirements:
Experience working with community and/or sporting groups at a regional level would be very beneficial for any candidate applying for this role. Experience working with multi-use facilities and mitigating disputes between different stakeholders would also be highly regarded.
Completion of a pre-employment medical including alcohol and other substances testing is required of all positions at the City.
Remuneration and benefits:
The Sport & Leisure Planner position has a salary starting from $89,127 per annum or $45.1046 per hour, offered dependent on knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications.
