We deliver 28 key services such as childcare, waste collection, parks maintenance, libraries, community facilities and aquatic centres to over 380,000 residents.
The role
Join our team as a Play Centre Assistant! Deliver excellent customer service, host community events like children’s birthday parties, and ensure a clean, safe environment. Responsibilities include food prep, serving, clean-up, customer care, and cash handling. Represent the Council with pride and help create a community we all love!
Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Setup and clean-up of the function / party areas
- Ensure the indoor play centre equipment is clean and ready for use
- Food preparation and service
- Coordinating activities and games for guests
- Attending to customer needs during functions
- Night and Weekend Work

You will have
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Working with Children's Check
- Basic Food Handlers Certificate
- Maintain professionalism in a customer service environment and basic customer service skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
The salary range for this opportunity starts at $28.8716 per hour (Grade A, Step1) + 12% super + 25% casual loading. Salary may be negotiable dependent on skills and experience.
