This role sits within WALGA’s
Commercial Management Team which delivers the Preferred Supplier Program (PSP) and helps Local Government Members access trusted suppliers, contracts and practical commercial advice, from sourcing play equipment for a new community park to specialist services like shark nets for coastal swimming areas.
We’re looking for a Contract Administrator, Commercial Management to support the smooth day to day running of our Preferred Supplier contracts. This role would suit someone who enjoys structured work, likes helping others, enjoys being a little tech savvy and takes pride in making sure contracts, records and enquiries are handled accurately and on time.
About the role
Working closely with the Commercial Management team, you’ll support the administration of PSP contracts, including supplier onboarding, contract variations, compliance and responding to contract‑related enquiries.
You’ll help maintain registers and documentation, support reporting, and assist with the systems and data that underpin the program. A key part of the role is being a friendly and reliable point of contact for Preferred Suppliers, Members and internal stakeholders, answering questions, picking up the phone and guiding suppliers through administrative processes and new systems.
While this is an administrative role, it offers valuable exposure to contracts and commercial programs and provides a strong foundation for developing your skills in this space over time.

You’re organised, dependable and enjoy being helpful. You take pride in getting the details right but also enjoy working with people and being part of a collaborative and innovative team.
You bring:
- Strong administrative experience in a commercial or office environment.
- Great organisation skills and the ability to juggle priorities and follow through on tasks.
- Clear and confident communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A proactive mindset and willingness to jump in and help where needed
Experience in contract administration, supplier programs or Local Government environments is helpful, but not essential.
