The Special Entertainment Precinct Officer will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of the SEP through activating the Liverpool CBD, stimulating the nighttime economy and providing tangible outcomes for the community.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Economic Development and Strategy Unit of Liverpool City Council is responsible for marketing Liverpool as a prime business destination, working with existing businesses in Liverpool to assist firms grow, innovate and improve their competitiveness, and developing and implementing an Economic Development Strategy, including Visitor Economy initiatives. As Council’s central point of contact for the newly created Liverpool CBD SEP, the Special Entertainment Precinct Officer will support the SEP trial period, implement strategies promoting activation within the SEP, coordinate community consultation and feedback, and be the primary liaison with the SEP grant funding body, including preparing milestone reporting.
ABOUT YOU
The successful applicant will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Business, Marketing, Tourism, Event Management or a related discipline
- Class C Drivers Licence
- Demonstrated experience in strategic project management, community engagement, and precinct activation or events
- Sound knowledge and experience in developing, planning, implementing and evaluating projects
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
- Demonstrated experience in managing diverse groups of stakeholders
- Highly developed written communication and interpersonal skills
- Advanced negotiation, influencing, marketing and networking skills
- Analytical and report writing skills
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office
