Teachers Health is the only health fund exclusively for teachers, nurses and related industry staff and their families. As a not‑for‑profit organisation, everything we do is focused on supporting teachers, education staff and their families, covering the lives of over 500,000 members.
Our Membership Services team plays a critical role in providing consistent, high‑quality advice and service across all Teachers Health care and insurance services. We’re looking for a Membership Support Officer to join our Member Experience team and support both external members and employees with accurate, thoughtful and timely service.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys managing varied enquiries, delivering clear advice, and confidently processing memberships with differing levels of complexity in a fast‑paced environment.
We have a 10-month full‑time opportunity available.

What will I do?
Role
Reporting to the Membership Team Leader, you will play a key role in providing consistent, high‑level advice and member service across all Teachers Health products and services. In this role, you will:
- Provide high‑quality advice and service to external members and employees
- Manage enquiries across phone, email, online requests and face‑to‑face interactions as needed
- Process memberships and member requests with varying levels of complexity
- Deliver clear, accurate and plain‑language information about products, services and policies
- Navigate multiple systems while ensuring accurate data entry and record‑keeping
- Actively promote Teachers Health products and services in a member‑focused way
- Collaborate with team members to share knowledge, distribute workloads and support service delivery
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of fund rules, products, processes and procedures
What do I need?
To Succeed In This Role, You Will Need
- Customer service and/or administrative processing experience in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to provide clear advice
- Confidence managing multiple tasks and competing priorities
- High attention to detail and strong data accuracy
- Comfortable using multiple systems and learning new software
- Ability to work full‑time, Monday to Friday, with hours rostered between 8:00am and 5:00pm
Experience in Private Health Insurance or complex service environments is highly regarded, but not essential, comprehensive training will be provided.
