Your Position:
In this position you will perform daily maintenance and
repairs on fleet and plant equipment, ensuring all tasks are completed on time
and meet operational targets. You will also be responsible for maintaining safe
work conditions, adhering to safety protocols, and properly using and
maintaining workshop equipment to carry out assigned tasks efficiently.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

- Perform
scheduled maintenance and repairs on Council’s fleet and plant equipment,
including waste collection, street cleaning, and road maintenance
vehicles.
- Diagnose
and resolve mechanical issues for diesel and petrol engines, hydraulic
systems, and transmissions.
- Accurately
complete job sheets and record time and costs for each job.
- Ensure
compliance with all safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.
- Collaborate
with the team to meet operational targets and deadlines.
- Provide
technical advice on equipment condition to support future maintenance
planning.
- Maintain
tools, equipment, and workshop facilities to ensure they are in optimal
working condition.
To be successful in this role you will have: -
- Trade
qualification as a Light Vehicle or Plant mechanic
- Current
Class HR Driver's Licence
- WHS
Construction Induction certificate (White Card)
Key Requirements:
- Willingness
to complete a National Police History Check
- Willingness
to complete a pre-employment health assessment
