About the role
We have two permanent full-time roles available in the Water and Sewer Operations team based at the Batemans Bay Depot. In these roles you will operate and maintain water supply and sewer systems, ensuring the protection of public and environmental health.
Your main duties will include:
- Operating water and sewer systems in accordance with established operating procedures and the requirements of Council’s Pollution Control Licences.
- Coordinating and supervising the tasks of Water and Sewer Assistant Operators.
- Ensuring all activities are carried out with safety, quality and environmental considerations.
The starting salary for this position is $2,591.33per fortnightplus 12% superannuation.

About you
Our Water and Sewer Operations team is seeking two motivated and reliable individuals to join the team. We are looking for candidates who can confidently supervise small work crews, lead by example, and take pride in delivering high-quality outcomes.
You will bring previous experience in water and sewer operations, maintenance, or construction, along with a proactive and hands-on approach to your work.
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
- Certificate III in Water Industry Operations (or an equivalent qualification).
- Strong communication skills, along with a demonstrated ability to lead and supervise small teams.
- Proven proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
