About the role
Are you ready to protect and elevate public safety in our thriving local area? Our progressive Environmental Health team is seeking an enthusiastic, community-minded
Environmental Health Officer / Senior Environmental Health Officer to serve as our frontline shield for public wellness.
Working within a highly collaborative team, you will turn regulatory compliance into positive community outcomes. You will drive safety standards across diverse local businesses through proactive inspections of food premises, beauty salons, cooling towers, and public pools. From investigating environmental health complaints to resolving complex issues, your decisive expertise will ensure our legal responsibilities are met while actively shaping a safer, healthier tomorrow.
About the person
You are a purpose-driven professional who excels where community meets environment. Your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills allow you to navigate customer inquiries smoothly, offering expert advice and resolving public health complaints with empathy and authority. You are passionate about promoting a positive image of Council and partnering with local businesses to elevate safety standards.
To be successful in this role you will have relevant tertiary qualifications combined with excellent customer service skills. A current valid car driver’s licence is also essential.
What’s on offer
We are offering remuneration from $91,988 to $105,786 (EHO);$104,041 to $119,467 (Sr. EHO) annual salary plus super.
