Operations Crew Member Maintenance
3 x Permanent full-time positions
38 hours a week + Rostered Day Off every fortnight
Salary: $62,018.32 - 72,075.38 + 12% Superannuation per annum

What you'll do
As a Roads Maintenance - Operations Crew Member, you'll report to the relevant Team Leader and participate in the operational maintenance, repair and renewal of Council’s roads and infrastructure assets. Working as part of the Infrastructure Maintenance team, you’ll contribute to maintaining a high standard of public presentation across the Shire through activities including pothole repairs and road maintenance works.
You’ll work across multidisciplinary teams and projects where operationally required, undertaking a variety of routine manual labouring and skilled tasks under direct supervision. This role involves operating small hand-held tools, equipment and machinery while supporting the delivery of responsive maintenance programs that ensure roads and infrastructure remain safe and well maintained for the community.
You'll contribute to maintaining a strong Workplace Health and Safety culture by following safe work practices, participating in training and applying sound judgement in day-to-day operations. This role may also require participation in on-call rosters and overtime where operational needs arise.

What you'll need (Essential Criteria)
- Demonstrated experience in construction and/or maintenance activities, including roads and drainage works and operating small hand-held tools, equipment and machinery relevant to the field.
- Level 1 Accredited Chainsaw qualification, or willingness to obtain within 12 months of employment.
- Hold Traffic Control Combo accreditation (Stop Slow Bat and Implement Traffic Plans) and a WHS Induction Card, or willingness to obtain within 12 months of employment.
- Hold and maintain a current C Class Driver Licence with the ability to operate a manual transmission.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders in delivering operational and maintenance services.
- Demonstrated ability in the use of computer applications and operating devices effectively, embracing digital solutions for works activities to enable field productivity and scheduling systems to facilitate day-to-day operations.
- Proven ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team environment while communicating professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
Other Requirements
- Maintain a C Class Driver Licence
- Complete a pre-employment medical assessment and satisfy fitness requirements prior to commencement.
