As part of the Parts and Natural Areas Unit, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the infrastructure of our parks and gardens while fostering a positive workplace culture. Your leadership will directly impact the quality of service we provide to our community, making every day rewarding and fulfilling.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As the Team Leader of Parks Operations, you will be entrusted with providing onsite leadership and supervision to a dedicated team. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that maintenance works are carried out safely, efficiently, and effectively, adhering to council policies and industry standards. You will also be expected to:
- Lead team development and foster a positive workplace culture.
- Conduct WHS assessments and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Establish and manage work schedules and resource allocation for optimal productivity.
- Implement horticultural maintenance plans and facilitate the adoption of innovative practises.
Your Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a proactive and experienced individual with a strong background in horticulture and team management. The ideal candidate should have:
- A Certificate III in Horticulture (or similar)
- AQF3 / Chemcert (or equivalent)
- WHS Induction Card (Whitecard)
- MR driver’s licence (or be willing to obtain one)
- Demonstrable experience in a supervisory role within a similar environment.
- The ability to plan and execute team workloads while addressing WHS and EEO issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- A commitment to providing exceptional customer service and enhancing community satisfaction.

- Package: From$78,717 gross p.a. plus 12% superannuation.
- Hours of work:Permanent full time 38 hours per week and a 9 day fortnight
