We are seeking motivated, resilient and customer-focused individuals to join our Rangers team as Casual Parking Compliance Rangers.
You will play an important role in delivering parking compliance services across the city. You’ll help ensure parking regulations are applied fairly and consistently while supporting safe access, traffic flow and positive community outcomes.
This is a fast-paced and highly varied outdoor role suited to people who enjoy working independently, engaging with the community and responding confidently to challenging situations.
What you’ll do.
- Enforcing on-street parking restrictions in accordance with the Australian Road Rules and relevant legislation
- Conducting patrols across Council and approved parking areas
- Responding to customer enquiries and resolving issues professionally and respectfully
- Issuing warnings and infringement notices where appropriate
- Preparing reports, evidence statements and documentation for legal proceedings
- Presenting evidence in court proceedings when required
- Delivering community education and awareness activities relating to parking compliance
- Operating electronic infringement devices and RMS systems
- Working collaboratively with Council teams, stakeholders and the community

We’re looking for people who are professional, adaptable and confident communicators with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
You enjoy working with the public, can think on your feet and bring a balanced approach to compliance and customer service. You are comfortable working independently while also contributing positively within a team environment.
Most importantly, you bring integrity, resilience and a commitment to delivering fair and respectful outcomes for the community.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people in challenging situations
- Able to adapt and remain flexible in dynamic and changing situations
- Knowledge of the Australian Road Rules and relevant legislation, or the ability to quickly learn
- Strong computer literacy skills including Microsoft Office programs
- Experience preparing reports and maintaining accurate records
- Ability to present evidence in legal proceedings where required
- Current Class C Driver Licence
- Ability to use handheld electronic devices and compliance systems
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently
