About the role
This position is responsible for the administration of the City’s residential swimming pool inspection program and provides support to the business support officer role.
Duties
Key
responsibilities include:
Swimming Pool Barrier Inspection Program
- Manage daily pool barrier inspections, including site visits, documentation, and database updates
- Conduct database audits to ensure records are accurate and up to date
- Generate monthly statistical reports on program status
- Provide advice and information to the public and internal teams
- Maintain and review processes and procedures
- Investigate and address swimming pool-related complaints
- Ensure compliance with City policies and safety requirements
Administrative and Technical Support
- Assist with front counter enquiries and phone duties
- Provide information on planning and building matters
- Support customer enquiries through research and coordination with officers
- Maintain up-to-date website and public information
- Assist with lodging building and development applications
- Maintain planning and building registers
- Research and compile property information
- Support data management and correlation tasks
- Undertake additional duties as directed within the role scope
Who we
are Looking for:
To be
considered for this position, you will need:
- Current WA “C” Class driver’s licence
- Relevant qualifications in pool safety, building, or similar (desirable, not essential)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to interpret and apply legislation
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and building plans
- Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
- Strong administrative and organisational skills with ability to meet deadlines
- Current satisfactory National Police Clearance
