About the role
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Children's Services Supervisor to join the Community Prosperity team.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing day to day operational
supervision and support to the Cabonne Children’s Services 6 OOSHC service
locations and Educators. This role will provide relief/backfill for the OOSH
Educators as required
As a member of Cabonne Council's Children's Services, you will uphold the children's rights, take the Child Safe Standards seriously and demonstrate a commitment to child safety.
What you’ll be doing
- Supervise and support day to day running
of Out of School Hours Care Services including program assistance,
administration duties and resourcing.

To provide
frontline service support and relief for Educators.
Contribute
to the development of a collegiate culture within the children’s services
unit of the department.
Attend
unit meetings.
To
work with Children’s Services Co-ordinator and Leader Community Services
to evaluate this job description annually.
To
ensure that the service has a working relationship with the school and its
staff, and that the service’s activities and operations reflect this where
appropriate.
To
work with other members of staff as a team.
Evaluate service policies and procedures and the program in
conjunction with the coordinator and other staff.
Support
OOSHC Educators with regulatory onsite compliance.
Provide
exceptional customer service by dealing promptly with all service
enquiries.
Oversight
of the Harmony software.
About you
You are a passionate and experienced childcare professional who enjoys leading and supporting teams to deliver high-quality Out of School Hours Care services. You have an organised, customer-focused and approachable, with strong administration skills, experience working with educators, and a commitment to creating safe, engaging and inclusive environments for children. You thrive in a collaborative environment, build positive relationships with families and schools, and are dedicated to ensuring compliance, quality outcomes and exceptional service delivery.
Essential requirements
- Minium Diploma in Childcare or Early Childhood or equivalent
- Class C driver’s licence
- Education and Care approved First Aid Certification
- Working with Children Check clearance
- Education and Care approved Child Protection training
- Criminal History Check
- Demonstrated experience working with children
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Foundations of Child Safety Training (Geccko)
Skills and experience
- Experience coordinating engaging and age‑appropriate activities
- Strong administration background.
- Ability to assist in
the coordination of the day-to-day operation of the service
- Ability to supervise staff
- Excellent
interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated experience and ability to supervise
lead and support staff and educators with a team orientation

Remuneration and Benefits
The appointment will be in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2026 and Cabonne Council’s policies and conditions of employment.
This position is graded 8-9 in Council's salary system with a gross weekly wage of $1541.60 - $1809.00 depending on skills and experience.
