About the role:
Are you passionate about turning data into meaningful insights that influence strategic decisions? As our
Enterprise Data Analyst, you'll play a pivotal role in helping leaders across Unitywater make smarter, evidence-based decisions that improve performance and deliver better outcomes for our communities. Working at the intersection of data, analytics and business strategy, you'll partner with Executive Leaders and stakeholders to deliver high-impact insights, improve access to critical information and help shape a data-driven culture.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a significant analytics transformation program, enabling self-service reporting, enhancing transparency and driving continuous improvement across the organisation.
In this role, you'll:
- Deliver impactful data and analytics solutions that support strategic decision-making and align with Unitywater's enterprise analytics roadmap.
- Partner with leaders across the business to provide meaningful insights that improve performance, solve complex business challenges and support informed decision-making.
- Increase visibility of organisational performance by developing trusted reporting, benchmarking and analytical solutions that drive accountability and continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain enterprise data assets that enhance data quality, accessibility and self-service analytics capabilities across the business.

Must have
- A qualification in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn data into meaningful insights and recommendations.
- Experience working with data visualisation and reporting tools, such as Power BI, to support business decision-making.
- Knowledge of data modelling, data preparation, reporting or analytics techniques.
- The ability to gather and interpret stakeholder requirements and translate them into practical solutions.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A collaborative approach, combined with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
Nice to have
- Experience with Microsoft BI tools, including Power BI, DAX, Power Query and SQL.
- Exposure to Azure technologies, data engineering, data warehousing or enterprise analytics environments.
- Experience using Python, data transformation tools or working with multiple data sources.
- Experience developing self-service reporting, dashboards or performance reporting solutions.
- Knowledge of data governance, data quality or continuous improvement practices.
