ABOUT THE ROLE
Position
We are looking for an energetic and suitably skilled individual to join our Workshop team to help us keep Council’s fleet, plant and equipment operating safely and efficiently across the Shire. Reporting to the Team Leader Workshop, this role supports the day-to-day operations of Council’s workshop by helping to maintain a safe, clean and organised work environment. A key aspect of the role involves operating and maintaining Council’s fuel truck, ensuring the timely and safe delivery of fuel to plant, equipment and operational teams throughout the
region.
Working alongside experienced mechanics and tradespeople, you will also assist with basic mechanical repairs, servicing activities and manual handling tasks that contribute to the reliability and availability of Council’s fleet and equipment.

- Current MR licence with relevant operational experience.
- Proven ability and willingness to undertake physical labouring duties.

- Knowledge and understanding of the principles and practices of equal employment opportunity and work health and safety and an ability to apply them to work practices.
The rewards
- An annual salary range of $61,600 to $70,800 (plus 12% superannuation) dependent upon skills, experience and qualifications.
