Working as part of the Building Services team you will play a key role in delivering statutory building services and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation. The position is responsible for assessing and processing a range of applications under the Building Act 2011, issuing statutory certificates, undertaking compliance inspections, conducting R-Code assessments, and investigating unauthorised or unsafe structures. Working across a diverse portfolio, including residential developments and caravan parks, you will help maintain building standards, support community safety, and contribute to positive development outcomes.
This role is suited to an experienced Building Surveyor with strong knowledge of relevant legislation, building construction practices and the Residential Design Codes of Western Australia. You will bring excellent communication, negotiation and decision-making skills, combined with a well-organised approach and the ability to provide sound, consistent assessments and advice across a range of building matters. To be successful, you must hold a current WA “C” Class Driver’s Licence and a recognised building industry qualification appropriate under the Building Services (Registration) Act 2011 (WA), Building Services (Registration) Regulations 2011 (WA) or equivalent.

This position offers a salary of $102,707 to $110,461 per annum (depending on experience). We value our employees and offer:
