The role:

Join Council's Water & Sewer team as a Medium Plant Operator and help deliver the essential infrastructure that keeps our communities thriving. Working alongside a supportive and experienced team, you'll operate a range of plant and machinery, undertake general labouring duties, and contribute to the construction and maintenance of critical water and sewer assets. What’s on offer:
- A salary range from $1181.30 – $1323.10 per 38 hour week (based on relevant skills and experience) + 12% superannuation + allowances.
- A true 38 hour working week, Monday – Friday with the opportunity for overtime if desired.
- Fortnightly Rostered Day Off (working a 9-day fortnight).
- Four weeks of Annual Leave per year.

What we need from you:
We're looking for a motivated and safety-focused team player who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in delivering high-quality outcomes. If you have experience operating plant, a practical approach to problem-solving and a commitment to working safely, we'd love to hear from you.
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- Experience operating medium plant, particularly backhoes/excavators and trucks, with the ability to safely operate, maintain and service equipment.
- A relevant qualification or practical experience in operational works, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety, along with good communication, record-keeping and problem-solving skills.
- A current MR driver's licence and Work Health and Safety General Construction Induction, with relevant plant operator tickets or the practical experience to obtain them.
- A reliable, can-do attitude and the physical capability to safely undertake the hands-on requirements of the role.
