About the Role
The Senior Statutory Planner is responsible for assessing and determining planning applications pursuant to the Planning and Environment Act 1987, especially those that are generally complex, large-scale or otherwise significant in nature.
The Senior Statutory Planner is also responsible for providing a high level of customer service to the public, as well as advice to other branches of Council, about planning policies, controls and procedures and for representing Council at hearings before the Planning List of the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT).
