The Role
Reporting to the Procurement Coordinator,
the purpose of this position is to work
collaboratively within the Procurement team to deliver effective, compliant and
value for money procurement outcomes by coordinating and supporting Council’s
procurement activities whilst ensuring compliance with relevant legislation,
policies, procedures and governance requirements
About You
You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
including the ability to interact effectively with both internal and external
stakeholders, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, exercising sound
judgement. You will be able to work independently and as part of a team and
meet organisational and legislative deadlines.
Essential Criteria
- Relevant Procurement or other relevant
tertiary qualification or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated experience on contract
administration and contract performance management
- Awareness of legislation applicable to
procurement in Local Government
- Proven experience relating to processes
associated with tendering and quotations
- Proven knowledge of Australian Standard General Conditions
relating to construction, consultancy and goods and other services
- The right to live and work in Australia
- Class C Drivers Licence
- WHS General Construction Work in NSW
- Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Successful applicants will be required to
undergo background (police) checks and medical declaration
