The Role
Reporting to the Environmental Compliance Coordinator and based in
Windsor, the successful candidate will join a high-performing team committed to
continuous improvement. The position is responsible for:
- Investigating environmental, public health and
pollution complaints.
- Delivering the annual public health inspection
programs.
- Assessing development applications from an
environmental health perspective.
- Working collaboratively with internal and
external stakeholders to protect community health and the environment.
- Contributing to ongoing service improvements
and regulatory outcomes
About You
You have demonstrated experience in Environmental Health within
local government and public health settings, with a proven ability to manage
complex regulatory issues and deliver balanced, practical outcomes. Your strong
technical knowledge and regulatory expertise allow you to assess and resolve
complex environmental health issues, applying sound judgement and
evidence-based decision-making.
Essential Criteria
- Bachelor of Applied Science (Environmental
Health) or equivalent qualification
- Ability to interpret relevant legislations and
enforce such legislations
- Experience in investigating and taking
enforcement action relating to environmental health, public health and
pollution incidents
- High level of interpersonal, negotiation,
conflict resolution and communication skills
- Ability to apply technical knowledge to a
range of complex situations
- The right to live and work in Australia
- Class C Drivers Licence
- WHS General Construction Work in NSW
- Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Successful applicants will be required to
undergo background (police) checks and medical declaration
