Due to internal promotion, we are looking for a Governance, Reporting and Regulatory Change Leader to join our Customer Compliance Performance team. You will play a key role in strengthening Energy Australia’s Customer business by ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining strong governance and reporting frameworks. This role will see you leading a team, proactively identifying and managing regulatory compliance risks, fostering transparency and a strong compliance culture.
Responsibilities include
- Establish and maintain governance frameworks for compliance and risk management, fostering a strong compliance culture, providing advice on governance and regulatory expectations, and best practices
- Oversee audit action plans, external requests for information (RFI/ACCC/Ombudsman requests), General Representation Letter (GRL) processes, self-assessments, and external regulatory reporting.
- Ensure accurate and timely regulatory reporting.
- Develop reporting and analytics to monitor and identify compliance performance and risks, providing insights to enhance decision-making.
- Enhance controls to mitigate risks and provide updates to senior leadership.
- Lead regulatory change initiatives and oversee regulatory change management across the Customer business unit
- Conduct external regulatory reporting reviews to ensure compliance and accuracy
About You
- Proven experience leading teams in a complex regulatory environment, with a background in compliance, governance, legal and/or risk management
- Strong understanding of customer operational processes, preferably in the energy industry
- Demonstrated stakeholder management experience at senior levels internally and externally
- Expertise in enhancing control environments, compliance performance, fostering a strong compliance culture.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated experience in preparing reports, and presenting to senior management and executive level forums
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, JIRA, SharePoint and confidence in using various reporting systems.
