Our client is a local council looking to bring on a Customer Experience Change Lead for an initial 24 month contract.
Your new role
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Program digital strategy roadmap aligned to organisational goals and community needs
- Define key digital priorities and investment pathways (e.g. mobile, web, chatbot, AI, digital ID)
- Provide strategic direction to cross-functional teams delivering digital services
- Build relationships with senior executives, business partners, elected officials, and external partners to champion digital transformation
- Oversee modernisation of digital channels, including the corporate website, customer portal, and mobile app amongst others
- Integrate Digital ID and single sign-on solutions across services
- Drive adoption of user-centred design principles across all digital platforms
- Commission and interpret user research to inform service improvements
- Collaborate with ICT to ensure digital services align with technology standards, cyber security, and interoperability requirements
What you'll need to succeed
- Strategic Digital Leadership in a Program context: Proven experience delivering digital transformation strategies in complex, preferably public sector environments.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Strong capability to influence executives, elected officials, IT teams and community stakeholders.
- Digital Service Delivery: Track record implementing websites, apps, digital IDs, chatbots or similar digital platforms.
- Customer-Centric Design: Experience applying user-centred design, accessibility, and service design principles.
- Project Oversight: Familiarity with managing or overseeing Agile or hybrid project delivery frameworks.
- Governance & Compliance: Understanding of digital governance frameworks and legislative obligations (e.g., Privacy Act, Local Government Act).
- Change Management: Demonstrated ability to embed digital-first behaviours across teams.
- Vendor Management: Experience managing vendor relationships.
