Your responsibilities will include:
Shaping the Future of Online Education
Craft a visionary product portfolio strategy that aligns with the University's objectives while staying agile to market dynamics, industry trends, and regulatory landscapes.
Translate strategic priorities into actionable plans that drive market share growth, diversify revenue streams, and fortify the University's competitive edge.
Overseeing a Transformative Course Roadmap
Spearhead the co-development of a forward-looking course roadmap in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Oversee product discovery, validation, and market opportunity assessment to ensure a sustainable, high-impact pipeline tailored to market demand, academic strengths, and strategic differentiation.
Anticipating and Capitalising on Emerging Opportunities
Crafting Compelling Business Cases
Develop robust, data-informed business cases for new and enhanced products, clearly articulating the commercial, academic, and student value propositions.
Cultivating a High-Performing Product Management Function
Build and lead a high-performing product management team by setting the strategic direction, coaching for excellence, enabling professional growth, and fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.

You have strong experience in managing the full life cycle of a suite of digital products where you use your exceptional communication skills to navigate a large, complex organisation. Your deep organisational and interpersonal skills enable you to turn concepts and ideas into strategies and implement them throughout your team and the wider University.
Essential Criteria:
Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field or equivalent extensive professional experience in business, marketing, product management, or digital innovation.
Senior management experience in product management, portfolio management, or marketing, preferably within online education or a digital-first business environment.
Demonstrated success in leading high-performing product teams and managing diverse product portfolios.
Proven expertise in developing market and product strategies that drive commercial growth, underpinned by strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and sound judgment.
Advanced ability to interpret complex market data, customer insights, and competitive intelligence to inform product investment decisions, optimise performance, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships and effectively engage and influence senior executives and key stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in a dynamic, fast paced, and evolving environment.
Strong knowledge of product lifecycle management frameworks, and contemporary product management tools and practices.

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. You will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures if you don’t have one already.
