About the Role:
As the Business Project Officer you will be responsible for corporate support for our Managers and Directors in delivering efficient administration services. You will support the onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring timely and accurate system access and maintaining data integrity. This role involves working closely with Regional Delivery Partners as well as internal teams such as IT, HR, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations across all levels of the project lifecycle.
You will thrive in a fast-paced, reactive environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously with attention to detail and a focus on delivering excellent service outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high‑quality corporate business administrative support to senior leaders, including reporting, communications, system requests, fleet and key management, and coordination of training, presentations, events and business processes.
- Lead and manage onboarding and offboarding processes for PDH teams, ensuring accurate system access, organisational structure updates, facilities setup and compliance with Sydney Water policies.
- Build strong, proactive relationships with PDH leaders, business administrators, P&C, IT and external partners to resolve issues, improve service delivery and support continuous business improvement.
- Coach and develop team members to enhance capability in onboarding, security and business processes, while fostering a constructive, high‑performance and values‑driven team culture.
- Exercise sound judgement and maintain confidentiality while driving efficient operations, improving customer experience and contributing to enterprise planning and organisational goals.
About You:
You will be a highly organised individual with a strong ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities with ease. Your strong communication skills and ability to build and maintain relationships will be key, along with your capacity to make thoughtful and informed decisions when needed.
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
- A Diploma in Business Administration (or equivalent experience), qualifications in Change Management or Lean principles are considered advantageous.
- A background in infrastructure delivery projects is essential.
- Proven experience delivering high‑quality corporate business services and administrative support within large teams or complex project environments.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted, collaborative relationships with senior leaders, stakeholders and cross‑functional teams.
- High proficiency across key business systems and applications (e.g., InEight, SWIM, MS Office suite, SharePoint, Visio) and a track record of identifying and implementing process improvements.
- A flexible, team‑oriented approach with strong problem‑solving capability, attention to detail, and the resilience to adapt to change and manage competing priorities.
